Synthetic Police Are Coming: DARPA Engineering Autonomous Robots
Because of the risks involved in rescue aid workers and human response teams, DARPA awarded Boston Dynamics, Inc. a $10.9 million contract to manufacture humanoid robots that are bi-pedal, built like humans and have a sensor head with on-board computing capabilities. Completion of the project is expected for August of 2014.
These robots are being created to assist in excavation and rescue missions, according to DARPA . They could also be employed to evacuation operations during either man-made or natural disasters.
Another of DARPA’s interests into robotics is the Avatar for the allocation of bi-pedal robots and essential super-soldiers and has devoted $7 million of its $2.8 billion 2012 budget to developing “interfaces and algorithms to enable a soldier to effectively partner with a semi-autonomous bi-pedal machine and allow it to act as the soldier’s surrogate.”
These human-controlled robots will be strong enough to “clear a room” and “facilitate sentry control and combat causality recovery.” Yet these “terminators” would easily be the most effective weapon against civil unrest or radical revolutionaries that did not subscribe to the globalist agenda.
Stanford University’s Aerospace Robotics Laboratory (ARL) wants to introduce autonomous robots into law enforcement situations; such as response in lieu of police SWAT teams.
In high-risk tactical situations, autonomous robots could replace trained personnel without threat of injury or loss of life. Under the direction of a tactical commander, those robots could be released to provide safe and secure assurance of mission completion. Possible voice recognition software could be used to allow the commander to direct the robot, convey commands, and gather information about the environment before deploying human law enforcement.

Oh my Lord !! This is scary !! Where's Governor Scwartznegger when you really need him ??
ReplyDeleteCybermen! (a la Dr. Who) Good grief, now all we need is Daleks!
ReplyDelete? arnold schwatrzenegger? toys to weapons to toys again in the end.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking more like WOODY ALLEN! Soon this will be mutated into a domestic assistant! No wonder it was called "Sleeper"! LOL!
This explains why last week there was international support to Ban Killer Robots.

The premise is that Robots are not human, thus not liable for crimes. Robots are not accountable to anyone, person or nation... Anyone remember 'iRobot' the movie?
Everyone always knew Robocop was coming
ReplyDeleteJeez, this is just more proof that our civilization is at the "fork in the road" where we can either keep going down this path of insanity and violence or switch to the path of peace and prosperity, but we have so very little time to make that collective decision.
ReplyDeleteI know that the collective would much rather go down the path of peace, but as we all know the collective is currently powerless and if we don't get that power of choice soon, we will never be able to turn back.
Hopefully something big happens to end all this crazy behavior, otherwise there is truly no purpose to be alive.
How do they expect to pay for any of this stuff? The privately owned Federal Reserve is in its last death throws; the Basil Protocols will prevent theft and fraud by bankers and government; the American people are awakening and demanding Secession and our evolutionary shift is upon us and will change the course of civilization and Earth by creating priorities for the collective! Those who refuse to accept the change will disappear like the dinosaur and frankly, good ridden's to them all! You won't be missed...
ReplyDeleteNo need to worry, it will never happen. The light has already won out over the dark. Bask in our victory.
ReplyDeleteWow. The whole thing reminds me of the "Battlestar Galatica: Caprica" series from two to three years ago. I know it sounds weird.
ReplyDeleteI watched a program last night on channel 120 on Dish network. It's the History channel. The program was called Ancient Aliens. It was about Leonardo De Vinci and how he had hidden pictures of alien heads in his paintings. The hidden alien faces were revealed by holding up a mirror and creating a butterfly effect. Anyway, one of the alien heads looked exactly like the helmet on the police robot in the above picture. I had also never heard of your website until last night.Kind of a weird synchronicity.
ReplyDeleteDude I dont understand people.....they have had perfect biological clone technology for decades now so robots come on thats HARDLY new technology and DARPA awarding a company $10 million dollars for creation of a so called fully Autonomous Robot...ya maybe the foot would cost $10 million dollars come-on now lol THINK PEOPLE! They already have had this tech for decades and this is nothing more then them rolling it out for the mainstream! If it was really a "brand new" tech the contract would be for billions! Think of the contracts they give for creating a damn armored humvee or something hundreds of millions of dollars, creating an autonomous robot is WAY MORE SUFFOCATED THEN A HUMVEE!
