Released FBI documents reveal plans to assassinate OWS activists
Sun Dec 23, 2012 9:8PM

Jason Leopold, an investigative journalist for Truth-Out, has obtained FBI documents - through the Freedom of Information Act - relating to Occupy Wall Street. Most of the pages in the documents are redacted, and show concerns of cyber threats against the financial sector. However, there are questions of assassination plots against Occupy activists in Houston, Texas. Because the documents have redactions, it is not clear who or what group was planning the assassinations.

On page 61, the section reads: “An identified [redacted] of October planned to engage in sniper attacks against protesters in Houston, Texas, if deemed necessary. An identified [redacted] had received intelligence that indicated the protesters in New York and Seattle planned similar protests in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, Texas. [Redacted] planned to gather intelligence against the leaders of the protest groups and obtain photographs, then formulate a plan to kill the leadership via suppressed sniper rifles.”

The bottom of page 68 and the top of page 69 reads: “On October 13, 2011, writer sent via email an excerpt [redacted] regarding FBI Houston’s [redacted] to all IA’s, SSRA’s and SSA [redacted]. This [redacted] identified the exploitation of the Occupy Movement by [redacted] interested in developing a long-term plan to kill local Occupy leaders via sniper fire.”

According to internal documents newly released by the FBI, the agency spearheaded a nationwide law enforcement effort to investigate and monitor the Occupy Wall Street movement. In certain documents, divisions of the FBI refer to the Occupy Wall Street protests as a "criminal activity" or even "domestic terrorism." The Huffington Post

The internal papers were obtained by the Partnership for Civil Justice fund via a Freedom of Information Act Request. The fund, a legal nonprofit that focuses on civil rights, says it believes the 112 pages of documents, available for public viewing on its website, are only "the tip of the iceberg." The Huffington Post

Documents show the spying abuses of the FBI’s “Campus Liaison Program” in which the FBI in Albany and the Syracuse Joint Terrorism Task Force disseminated information to “sixteen different campus police officials,” and then “six additional campus police officials.”

Campus officials were in contact with the FBI for information on OWS. A representative of the State University of New York at Oswego contacted the FBI for information on the OWS protests and reported to the FBI on the SUNY-Oswego Occupy encampment made up of students and professors.

According to the new documents, the FBI began meeting with representatives of the New York Stock Exchange and other businesses as early as August 2011, a month before the Zuccotti Park protests. The Huffington Post

According to the documents, the FBI coordinated extensively with private companies, including banks that feared they could be affected by Occupy protests. The Huffington Post

The Occupy Wall Street movement, which began on September 17, 2011 in New York City's Wall Street financial district has been rallying against social and economic inequality, greed, corruption and the perceived undue influence of corporations on government-particularly from the financial services sector.

Among the Occupy movement's prime concerns is that large corporations and the global financial system control the world in a way that disproportionately benefits a minority, undermines democracy and is unstable. The Huffington Post

Occupy Wall Street has managed to turn the attention of America’s politicians and citizens to the dismal state of income inequality and economic mobility in the U.S. Think Progress

Fiji Unveils New Currency Without Queen Elizabeth's Portrait

SUVA, Dec 12 (Bernama) -- Fijian President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau on Wednesday unveiled the country's new banknotes and coins that no longer feature British Queen Elizabeth II's portrait.

Xinhua news agency reports over the last 78 years, Fiji's currency has featured members of the British royal family from King George V to Queen Elizabeth II.

In launching the new banknotes and coins, Nailatikau said: "Fijians are forever grateful to the Royal family for allowing us to use their effigies. However, it is now time to move forward as we strive to create our own identity.

"The new currency is a celebration of our national treasure and the natural beauty with which this nation is blessed."

The new notes and coins feature designs of local endemic flora and fauna, some of which are believed to be extinct.

Design subjects range from birds of the Kadavu Island and high misted forests of Taveuni Island to insects, flowers and marine species found in highland streams and in oceans around Fiji.

The Reserve Bank of Fiji began work on the new currency series in 2010 when Fiji was celebrating the Year of Biodiversity.

The new currency will begin circulation beginning Jan 2 next year.

Declared a British colony in 1874, Fiji gained independence in 1970 and became a republic in 1987.

Merry Christmas

Greetings and Salutations;

Hope you all are enjoying the holidays, as best you can. Some of you heard, some folks have hit the banks already. Some will deny such a thing because they don’t know anyone who went. That’s ok, there are non-disclosures that get signed, which locks people’s lips for 90 days. Some may have heard some old contracts are being paid out. Don’t be surprised to find out the big O people were not the first on the list to be paid out, the point being, all is orderly and the oldest stuff goes first. So like the lunch line in school, the time is here to be served, just wait your turn. Tho' some bankers took off for the holidays, not all did and continue to work right thru the weekend. It’s international…the whole world! The US is just a pivot point on everything but, it does not run the change over. For the fans of rvs, take look at this, things are moving despite the great silence out here.. .

Time has caught up to everybody out here, many institutions that have run the world, have lost their leases and charters and no one will start them back up by taking up the leases and charters. The world court has been in possession of a lot of these filings, tho' we have been taught in america, the Hague carries no power over us. I’ll tell you if the Hague dispatches agents to pick you up and put you somewhere, they’ll get you. They got the jackal after his time of scaring the crap out of people. People in august positions right now, need to make sure they are on the ‘right side’ of things or they could find themselves in outer mongolia living in a yurt. As the mayans said, this is the end of time as we knew it. Sorry, the universe doesn’t operate on the ticks of an arbitrary clock, something you'll get used to... if you continue to live on planet earth. ‘And time was, no more’. You passed thru a doorway on 12-12-12, then 12-21, the earth was propelled further and locked. No down, no return. The preachers had a chance to tell their congregations but it was too far outside the ‘teachings’ they want to hold onto. Yea, ‘my kingdom is no part of this world’…get it?

The assault on normalcy is in full mode now, so hold on to your ‘tidy whiteys’ and make sure you have a good supply of your favorite toilet paper, If you’re not expecting any thing, you’ll be caught flat footed and and absolutely ‘gobsmacked. I’ve been with you to walk you thru this because this is the way the world should be and you needed somebody who couldn’t be knocked off his center, no matter the ‘news’. If you have and stay with the bottom line it becomes a game of watching who else is going to step up and defend more ‘BS’. Some thing stupid being relayed as if it’s caring and looking out for you. If you know it’s joke, you can laugh but, if you don’t and take half this stuff seriously, you may be looking for a way to commit suicide. This picture they project as reality is screwed. Nothing worse than talking cockroaches.

So, while there’s some who are happy as pigs in mud many more will fill in the gap quite shortly and become ‘jet setters’. Don’t worry about it, you are suppose to be happy…seek your joy. I don’t have to tell you, it’s in your gut…been there the whole time, waiting like a lion, to be loosed from the zoo. Do remember, balance in all things.

Have wonderful life…worth living!

Consultations available until the door bell rings.

Love and Kisses,

Master list of Antidepressant/SSRI Related Violence

I knew this was a problem given the people I know who have died from taking these drug and using handguns to kill themselves, but this list is amazing and a wake up call to congress and gun control advocates that the problem is more than just guns, its the drugs people are taking.

The combination of antidepressants and guns are a much more serious problem than drinking and driving.  Where are the Mothers Against Antidepressants?   Surely enough mothers are sick and tired of their children dying in school shootings?  Where are the calls for to hold the pharmaceutical industry responsible for its part in all this madness?

This list will astound you!

Okay, I’ve viewed this once. It’s a little over an hour long, but if you just want to listen to a bit, I’d suggest going to 20 minutes and view from there. I was completely “drawn in” by this one. Jelaila Starr just emailed her latest message with this video in it. Made a lot of “connection-sense” to me. And fun to watch.

Organized religion on the decline? Growing number of Canadians ‘spiritual but not religious’

Kathryn Blaze Carlson | Dec 21, 2012 9:46 PM ET | Last Updated: Dec 21, 2012 9:58 PM ET

Rev. Juanita Austin realized her Salmon Arm, B.C., church’s advertising campaign resonated when a stranger at the grocery store interrupted her shopping and thanked the First United Church for putting out such a welcoming message. “Is there a church out there that gets being Spiritual but not Religious?” the ad asks. “Check us out.”

The ad does not disguise the church’s Christian affiliation — it bears a cross within a flame and the motto “a church with a difference.” But it also features a rainbow, the symbol of inclusivity made ubiquitous by the gay community, in the hopes of attracting reluctant believers into its dwindling fold.

The ad — produced with the help of a marketing consultant and released ahead of the Christmas season — was born out of the church sensing a shift it now knows to be a reality: More and more Canadians are turning away from organized religion, shunning dogma and church attendance for a vaguer notion of spirituality. They are spiritual, but not religious.

A new Forum Research poll, commissioned exclusively for the National Post, shows two-thirds of Canadians are spiritual while just half say they are religious. And a quarter of those who profess “no religion” still expressly believe in God. The poll comes at a time when church attendance rates are dipping, when most Canadians say they do not consider religion important and when claiming “no religion” is a more common answer than ever before — less than 1% of Canadians ticked off “no religion” four decades ago, but according to 2001 census data, the latest such data available, 16% marked that box.
