Gordon Duff VT 2-27-15… “Obama Blocks GOP Attempt to Throttle Internet Freedom”

veterans_today_banner_NEW_69veterans_today_gordon_duff_banner_32Although I read it was “the FCC” that voted this (see this earlier post), apparently Gordon is calling it “Obama”s deal”. Either way, one statement here stood out:
“With internet hoax websites citing Obama’s backing of telecom and NWO attempts to throttle internet freedom, the mysterious Mr. Obama turned the tables. Similarly, Veterans Today has learned that the proposed reclassification of some classes of .223/5.56mm ammunition, reported to have been an Obama “executive order,” was actually done by Bush appointees who remain in control of ATF policy.
“Today the FCC voted to declare the internet a public utility and to begin investigations of both service providers and search engines that censor content, block free speech and choke off content the find politically “troublesome.””
Undoubtedly, there are other US CORP agencies infiltrated with Bush appointees, and the FCC my have been one.
Also, it is likely that Gordon has “struck the nerve(s)” here, because the comments portion appears to have “awakened the trolls”!
GOP crushed by Obama ruling on internet freedom
GOP commissioners cited Obama as a “flip-flopping communist” for blocking the attempt led by Verizon and their Wall Street backers to put a “choke valve” on the internet.  The GOP plan, backed by the ADL and AIPAC, would have allowed full censorship through cutting off bandwidth to controversial websites.  They simply would never load.
The GOP plan was to put a choke on all content other than approved propaganda and pornography.
With internet hoax websites citing Obama’s backing of telecom and NWO attempts to throttle internet freedom, the mysterious Mr. Obama turned the tables. Similarly, Veterans Today has learned that the proposed reclassification of some classes of .223/5.56mm ammunition, reported to have been an Obama “executive order,” was actually done by Bush appointees who remain in control of ATF policy.

Today the FCC voted to declare the internet a public utility and to begin investigations of both service providers and search engines that censor content, block free speech and choke off content the find politically “troublesome.”  From Huffington Post:
The Federal Communications Commission voted Thursday to approve strong net neutrality rules in a stunning decision, defying vocal, months-long opposition by telecom and cable companies and Republicans on Capitol Hill.
Democratic Commissioners Jessica Rosenworcel and Mignon Clyburn joined Chairman Tom Wheeler to approve a rule that reclassifies consumer broadband as a utility under Title II of the Communications Act.
The FCC intends to use this new authority to ban “paid prioritization,” a practice whereby Internet service providers can charge content producers a premium for giving users more reliable access to that content, as well as to ban blocking and throttling of lawful content and services.
The GOP says it plans to seek impeachment of President Obama for influencing the FCC vote.  The GOP has already begun to file lawsuits against the FCC on behalf of telecom giants who spent tens of millions buying influence to pass the “internet death rule.”

Lucid Living – 3 Ways To Become Lucid While You’re Awake

Lucid Living – 3 Ways To Become Lucid While You’re Awake
By Steven Bancarz| We have all heard of lucid dreaming before. Lucid dreaming is the act of waking up within your dream, and becoming aware that you are operating within a dream world. Everything around you becomes a little more saturated with colour and life as the realization sits in that the world around you is yours to create. You can fly, manipulate matter, and influence the behaviour of other characters in your dream.

More profound than the new abilities you have is the underlying sense of being present in a realm of dreams. Sometimes, it has almost moved me to tears while being in a lucid dream. It’s so beautiful. One of the best parts about lucid dreaming is the profound implications they can have on our experience of reality. I once had a lucid dream where it felt more real than real life. There are times where I know I am lucid within a dream, but this felt so hyper-real I couldn’t decipher between lucid dream and reality anymore.

Then I thought to myself, “If I can’t tell the difference between this and real life, how can I be so certain that ‘real life’ is not a dream also?”. A few moments after that, I found myself awake in my bedroom, hovering four feet over my body looking around my room which had now become illuminated by my astral body.

That experience taught me a lot about our experience of waking life. It also taught me to look closer into what happened in my mind leading up to my experiences of becoming lucid within a dream. What induced this lucidity? What happened in my mind as I transitioned from the dream state into lucidity?

After having many experiences with lucid dreaming, I began to get a sense of what it felt like to become lucid in waking life. To literally step outside of your story temporarily and become the watcher of your journey. Life is just a playground for spiritual evolution, and one day you will wake up and realize that you were just passing through. You will wake up from this dream, just like you wake up from your dreams each morning after being fooled into thinking that your dream was all there was to reality. In the same way your subconscious mind creates the landscape of your dreams, your soul has created the landscape of your waking-dream.

It doesn’t require a thousand hours of meditation, or for you to read every New Age book that has been printed. All it requires is that you make shifts in your consciousness, and I would like to share some very easy ways to shift away from ordinary consciousness and into lucid living. Here are 3 ways to become lucid while you are awake:

1) Stop thinking. Become the witness.

If you pay attention to what happens when you become lucid within a dream, you will notice that you literally get pulled out of your thoughts and into lucidity. You are initially trapped in this day-dreaming state of mind, not considering anything around you. And as lucidity begins to set in, your thoughts start to subside and a new level of awareness begins to arise from beyond the thought-stream.

Unfortunately, in waking life we don’t normally get yanked out of our thoughts and into transcendence out of nowhere. It requires that use our will to re-direct our attention. So right now, as you read this, I want you to stop what your doing. If you’re just passively scrolling through this, take a moment to focus. Take a deep breath right now. Inhale…now exhale.

Take the next 10-20 seconds to stop thinking. Don’t think about not thinking, just don’t think. Listen to the sounds that are happening around you. Maybe you hear the wind, or cars outside, or maybe you hear an undertone of silence. Whatever sounds you may hear, don’t think about them. Don’t judge them, comment on them, or label them. Just listen, without thinking. Now, pay attention to yourself as the listener. Who is the one that is listening? And who is the one that is AWARE of the one that is listening? There is something listening, but there is also something noticing the listening.

When it comes to dreaming, there is the dreamer (which is you who unconsciously cruises through the dream world), and then there is the awareness of the dreamer. This is where lucidity sets in. In waking life, there is the one who lives (your ego, personality, etc.), and there is the one aware of the one who lives (your soul, pure consciousness). When you take a moment to snap yourself out of autopilot mode, you will notice that the one who operates within autopilot mode is not you. It is just an aspect of you, that YOU can become aware of. Take a look around you. Really take a moment to actually see. Who is the one that is seeing right now, and who is the one that is aware you are seeing?

Don’t just hop on board with your thoughts and emotions, or even your experience of the world around you. Take a moment to notice your thoughts, emotions, or experience. Notice, and then notice that you are noticing. Feel the sense of an alert presence arise within your being as you remain still. You are now lucid living.

South Carolina: Laurens County GOP: If You've Had Pre-Marital Sex, You Can't Be A Republican

SC County GOP: If You've Had Pre-Marital Sex, You Can't Be A Republican

Before you can join the Laurens County Republican Party in South Carolina and get on the primary ballot, they ask that you pledge that you've never ever had pre-marital sex -- and that you will never ever look at porn again.

Last Tuesday, the LCGOP unanimously adopted a resolution that would ask all candidates who want to get on the primary ballot to sign a pledge with 28 principles, because the party "does not want to associate with candidates who do not act and speak in a manner that is consistent with the SC Republican Party Platform."

Among the principles, according to Vic MacDonald & Larry Franklin of the Clinton Chronicle, is standard fare like opposition to abortion and upholding gun rights, as well as "a compassionate and moral approach to Teen Pregnancy" and "a high regard for United States Sovereignty."

But then they get even more specific. From the Chronicle:

  1. You must favor, and live up to, abstinence before marriage.
  2. You must be faithful to your spouse. Your spouse cannot be a person of the same gender, and you are not allowed to favor any government action that would allow for civil unions of people of the same sex.
  3. You cannot now, from the moment you sign this pledge, look at pornography.

It is unclear how they will precisely determine this (or regulate it), but an unidentified potential candidate for office in Laurens County told the Chronicle that candidates will be interviewed by a three-person subcommittee, who will then recommend to the full executive committee whether to allow the candidate on the ballot.

Bobby Smith, who chairs the Laurens County Republican Party, explained that "people feel the platform has not been adhered to. We want candidates to believe in and uphold the party's platform."

Though at first the resolution would have required candidates to sign the pledge, Smith clarified in a statement Monday that "due to various legal issues" the LCGOP cannot require that the candidates sign the pledge if they meet all of the other qualifications for a run. But, he said, the committee "reserves the right to vet its candidates and will encourage all candidates to uphold the principles of the party's platform as well as petition candidates to sign a pledge to do so. However, no candidate will be denied access to the Republican Party primary ballot for refusing to sign the pledge."

State GOP chairman Chad Connelly told the Chronicle that he doesn't necessarily oppose the idea. "If we are wearing the same uniform I want to be sure we are kicking the ball toward the same goal, or are you moving against me."

North Carolina Legalizes Call Girls For Politicians

I am not sure what is stranger about this article, the distinction between prostitutes and politicians, or the idea that sex doesn't influence opinion, or the rather cold hearted claim that the women have no value... they certainly don't work for free... -AK

North Carolina Legalizes Call Girls For Politicians
Author: Nathaniel Downes February 27, 2015 4:52 pm

North Carolina’s State Ethics Committee has just opened up a major problem for their state — they just made it legal for lobbying firms to purchase prostitutes to service politicians. The Committee’s determination that sex had no value and that sex between a lobbyist and politician was nothing to report or in any way questionable means that a major loophole has opened up for lobbying firms. Now lobbying firms can hire people with the explicit goal to seduce and fornicate with politicians in order to garner favor.

In other terms, lobbying firms can hire people who can offer sexual services for politicians, and they don’t even need to register.

Now, before it is said that it is being misinterpreted, here is the actual letter from the Ethics Committee, titled “Sexual Favors or Sexual Acts as a Gift or ‘Thing of Value.'” In it, they declared that these relations have no monetary value, so do not need to be reported. In addition, they declared that if the person is not registered as a lobbyist, there was never any point of concern, even if the service was paid for by a third-party. In other words, lobbyists can hire people expressly for a politician to use in a carnal manner, even if the politician asks for or otherwise indicates their desire for such a service.

Even more disturbing are the long-term implications. Let us say a politician does partake, yet the person who paid for the night of temptation was a less than honest broker. A few hidden cameras, some veiled threat that did not cross the line into blackmail territory, a night of infidelity could put a politician into a less honorable group’s pocket without major cost, and all now rendered perfectly legal by the Ethics Committee of North Carolina.

Lobbying is a practice which needs to end for the good of the republic. When our founders agreed that the people have the right to redress grievances and to petition the government, that did not mean corporations or trade groups being granted superior access to the people themselves. Money is not speech, liberty is not anarchy — freedom for all, not just for the elite.
